Eligibility and Documents

Minimum eligibility: 18 years old, completed Class 10 (rural) or Class 12 (urban). PAN, Aadhaar, address proof, recent photographs and a bank account are mandatory.

IRDSmart Exam - IC-38 Course

Complete the 25-hour IC-38 training. Then pass the IRDSmart exam - multiple-choice, 50 questions, 60-minute duration. Pass mark is 17/35 (life) or 17/50 (general).

Choose Your Insurer & Sign Up

Apply to one insurer (LIC, HDFC Life, ICICI Lombard, Star Health) for sponsorship. Once your license is issued by IRDSmart, you are authorised to sell.

First 90 Days as an Agent

Focus on 30 close family/friend policies in the first 30 days. Days 31-60: ask each for 2 referrals. Days 61-90: set up your free Agenex website.
